Tired Mummy of Two

What is your favourite Christmas song?

Fairytale of New York by The Pogues Featuring Kirsty McColl

Why is this your favourite Christmas song?

Christmas carols drive me mad and I love a song with a big of heart to it and after the tragic death of Kirsty McColl it has even more emotion behind it. Having seen The Pogues live this song always brings back memories of nights out on the town when it is cold and good friends right there beside me.

Thank you Laura for sharing your favourite Christmas song – the death of Kirsty McColl was so sad, however I like that a part of her lives on in this song.

I love this song too! You certainly know it’s Christmas when you hear it playing on the radio. I generally crank up the volume and sing as loudly as I can, It’s a timeless classic with plenty of emotion. Rachel x

I think his ranks up here highly for many people. It is one of my favourite 2, can never pick between it and Mud with Lonely his Christmas ( but then Les and Dave from Mud were on my wall as a teenager)
