Big Bertha Original Beanbag Armchair

December 18, 2017

Roo is now at the stage where she often prefers to go upstairs and chill out in her bedroom. With access to Netflix, Spotify and all her bits and bobs, it is somewhere she likes to get away from it all. Closing the bedroom door on the noise from Tigger and Piglet screeching and giggling. Relaxing after school activities or inviting friends over to chat the hours away.

Whilst she has a day bed style bed in her room, she doesn’t always like to sit/lay on there when she wants to read, or even watch a film. Having thrown all the bedding and pillows on the floor in an attempt to make a cosy space to sit, I knew that I needed to find a solution for her. We’d previously looked at getting a large pillow style bean bag but she wasn’t keen on it. However, when she spotted the Big Bertha Original Bean Bag Armchair she loved the style and bold purple colour too. Although available in children’s size too, we opted for the larger adult size as Roo is only going to continue growing.

Big Bertha Original Beanbag Armchair

Designed for lounging out, the Big Bertha Original Bean Bag Armchair is much-loved for its ergonomic shape, low-cut arms, and neat lines. This bean bag makes an excellent addition to a student’s dorm room, teenager’s bedroom, kid’s playroom, or as garden furniture for all the family.

Made with SmartCanvas™ premium outdoor fabric and containing SupremeX™ filling, this bean bag will make a fantastic addition to any garden furniture collection. For maximum usability, why not use this bean bag in the home over the winter and take it out to lounge on when the sun comes out.

Some assembly required

Arriving in a rectangle box, I initially thought that it was a completely different delivery as I assumed the bean bag armchair would come ready assembled. It doesn’t. You need to unfold the cover and fill with beans via the two openings. This is somewhat of a difficult task especially if you are attempting to do it alone. Personally, I found using a jug to pour beans in helped, until the bag was half empty to make tipping the bag easier (and less likely to spill everywhere).

What’s yours is mine

Like any new purchase when you have siblings, both Tigger and Piglet decided to try out the bean bag armchair for size. It was my fault really as I had left it in the front room after filling so they came down in the morning and that became the must sit on chair for the day. They were a little disappointed to see it moved up into Roo’s bedroom. Although Roo has invited Tigger into her room to join her watching films and reading books so he does still manage to sneak a sit on it every now and again.

Where Can I buy a bean bag armchair?

The Big Bertha Original Bean Bag Armchair is available to buy from Big Bertha Original, available in a selection of colours and textures.

I’d gift it to my teenage boys so they could do their gaming sitting comfortably in their room. They wouldn’t have to know that when they are at school I’d sit down on their Big Bertha, chill and watch reality TV!
