Introducing an inspirational range of authentic and traditional Indian sauces lovingly developed and launched by popular TV Chef and Cookery Writer, Anjum Anand…
Now if you are anything like me you love the idea of a freshly prepared meal but are often put off by the time it takes then I may have found the prefect thing for you. The Spice Tailor range of 7 authentic Indian dishes that only take 10 minutes to cook may just be the answer you have been searching for.
The kit includes spices, base and main sauces.
Following three simple steps:
1. Heat 1tsp of oil in a pan ( you really only need a little, Mr Boo added a little too much), add the spices and cook for 20 seconds.
2. Add the meat, fish or paneer and brown lightly for 2 minutes (not required for the fish) before adding the base sauce and simmering for 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in the main sauce and cook for 3-6 minutes or until the meat, fish or paneer is cooked through.
Serves 2-3 with rice or naan.
How we got on:
Now I am a ‘Plain Jane’ when it comes to food so I handed this review over to Mr Boo who loves a good curry but due to the time restraints does often get a ‘home cooked’ curry.
‘The instructions were simple and easy to understand. I did however use a little too much oil when making the Tikka Masala and this showed when I added the sauces.
The cooking time was short which meant it would make a great fast dinner, or good to pull out of the cupboard if you suddenly have unexpected guests over to eat dinner.
I decided to serve the Tikka Masala with egg fried rice. It was very tasty, good flavours and spicy but mild.‘
Personally I like the idea that all you need to add to these packs is your chosen meat, a quick, simple but tasty meal in minutes.
Disclosure Policy: We received two curry products for the purpose of this review. My thoughts and opinion and those of Mr Boo’s are our own.
