A jacket for all the seasons

June 24, 2015

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the British weather. There are two ways of thinking about the weather – moan about it (which we all end up doing anyway) or embrace it. A friend of mine always says that there is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing – a great way of thinking about it.

There is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing

Being a northerner at heart I’m use to the changeable face of the British weather so know just how important getting the right clothing can be. Now we are in June we’d like to think that the April showers are behind us and warmer days are heading our way. This unfortunately hasn’t been the case (especially when I was caught unaware last week on the school run and got soaked through).

Recently Roo was sent the Trespass Skydive 3-in-1 jacket to see whether it was truly a jacket for all seasons. When it arrived I have to be honest and thought that it was a coat that she wouldn’t need until the colder days of autumn were upon us but I have to confess to being wrong.

Skydive 3-in-1 jacket features:

  • 3 in 1 jacket
  • Matching inner fleece jacket
  • Concealed fold away hood
  • 2 front zip pockets
  • Adjustable cuffs
  • Hem drawcord

The Skydive 3-in-1 jacket is really versatile it can be worn as the label says in three different ways…

Jacket and fleece

Keep both warm and dry by wearing the waterproof and windproof jacket along with the matching inner fleece to provide the maximum effect of this jacket. With the inner fleece attaching via an internal zip to the outer jacket you don’t have to worry about your children struggling with adding two jackets on, in fact it will be just like popping on a thick and warm winter coat.

Shelter from the wind and the rain in the waterproof and windproof jacket with concealed fold away hood. With the added bonus of adjustable cuffs, drawcord hem your little one will be able to make the necessary adjustments to make sure the rain and wind doesn’t sneak inside.

This lightweight jacket which can be easily folded up and popped inside a day sack is the perfect thing to take on holiday or day trips just in case the British weather decides to play up.

For those cooler days as spring turns into summer, summer into autumn and those chilly summer nights the snuggly fleece will help keep your child warm. With elasticated cuffs and pockets it will be the perfect jacket to take to school during cooler days and great to keep in the car in case it turns cold whilst you are out and about.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

Finding jackets for children that are functional, high quality and wearable is something that I have struggled with. The fashionable, cheaper styles that you can find in various stores often don’t offer what I want for my children. Now that I have found the Skydive 3-in-1 jacket from Trespass I have to say that it offers everything I’m looking for in terms of a versatile jacket for Roo – I like it that much that I’ve ordered one for Tigger!

With a RRP of £49.99 however currently available for just £31.99 I think it is great value especially when you consider that you are getting three different jackets in one, along with the quality you can trust from Trespass. Available in four different colours; black, navy, damson and petal pink and a choice of seven sizes.

It’s lovely when you find something practical that children also like the look of. Having a 12 year old daughter, I completely understand the struggle! x
