Georgie runs a very successful gingerbread shoppe until one day a new shoppe full of glitter and sparkle opens next door. Soon nobody wants to visit the gingerbread shoppe and Georgie has to close down. Whilst everyone is happy with the new shoppe they do not like the smell of plastic – which gives Georgie a fantastic idea.

The illustrations within this book really bring the magic of the story alive. With Georgie having to close her shoppe Roo thought that was very sad, especially as nobody would be able to enjoy her gingerbread at Christmas. A book with a good moral about how to make good come out of bad situations.
