Wonderland, Robert Miles and WWE Norwich #LittleLoves

May 12, 2017

It’s Friday again, how did that happen? My days are passing in a blur of family life. This week has bee especially busy with a number of days out and activities. Roo has been at the forefront of most of the things this week. Not sure how we managed it but everything fell on the same week. I’d have to say that her highlight of the week was going to WWE Norwich and getting to see her first live wrestling match.

Read

One of the recommendations in Roo’s last school report was to read more non-fiction titles. Whilst she is happy to read through a Jacqueline Wilson novel or two she is a little reluctant to pick up other books. As rewards for her school certificates, she has been receiving Horrible Histories books as they seem to be really grabbing her interest – plus they hold some gruesome facts.

Watched

On Saturday I headed down to London with Roo along with Magic Nanny, my sister-in-law, and my niece. With tickets to see Wonderland The Musical at the New Wimbledon Theatre. with us all being big Alice in Wonderland fans we were eager to watch the new musical – *spoiler* we loved it!

Heard

As I drove Roo to her swimming lesson I heard a radio announcement to say that Robert Miles had died at just 47 years old. This was the DJ of my youth and spent many an hour listening to his Dreamland album or dancing to the tunes in nightclubs with my friends. Children has to be one of my all time favourite songs so needless to say I have been listening to his music via Spotify whilst I work.

Made

Nothing of any note, it’s been a week of catching up on the housework with me finally seeing the bottom of the wash basket in I don’t know how long.

Wore

With Roo attending her first WWE event, she was treated to a wrestling t-shirt for the occasion. The Bellas are her favourite WWE Divas (and adores the Total Bellas show) so a red ‘Stay Fearless’ t-shirt was adorned ready for the show.

Lastly

We were shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news from Drayton Manor. We have visited the park at least once a year, every year since Roo was two years old. My heart goes out to the young girls family and school friends.
