As May approached I had a grand plan to clear off my ARC (Advance Reader Copy) reading lists on NetGalley and BookSprout. However, as the month began I was finishing off some mafia romance books and got sucked into reading more on a similar theme. The suggestions that pop up as you finish a book on my Kindle Paperwhite swaying my willpower and wanting me to read another dark mafia romance.

PLAN FOR JUNE: I MUST clear my NetGalley and BookSprout reading lists!

What I’m Kindle Reading in May…

The Runaway Bride by Mary Jayne Baker

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Instead of enjoying her big day, Kitty finds herself running away from her wedding. With nowhere to go, nowhere to turn she ends up hitchhiking. Taken under the wing of widower Jack who lives in a retro campervan. Between the two of them, they each discover the person they are, how they can move on with their lives and realising that there is still a chance at love. A heartwarming story, that was an easy read but not one that I was truly invested in.
