The Lodge Griddle & Grill // North Tuddenham, Norwich

June 3, 2018

Tucked away just off the A47 west of Norwich is the village of North Tuddenham. As you head towards the main houses you will pass The Lodge Griddle & Grill. North Tuddenham’s local pub, however, it is so much more than just somewhere to grab a pint after a long day.

Alongside the countryside pub the house a beautiful, yet quaint restaurant. taking a step inside you are greeted by an array of traditional brick walls, wood panelling which has been stained to offer a chic country feel. The Lodge Griddle & Grill // Menu

Open for lunch and evening service (although closed on Mondays), they offer an extensive menu to cater for almost every palette. With lunch, main and grill menus available, the hard part is narrowing down what you’d like to eat. Offering steaks, chicken and fish alongside vegetarian dishes. Served with a choice of potato including sweet potato fries.

The Lodge Griddle & Grill // Our visit

Selecting the G&G smothered chicken and the surf & burger from the main menu. Both arrived piping hot and plates brimming with food. Presented carefully with each component thought about and placed methodically. Tucking in for the first bite was quite simply delightful. Everything cooked to perfection with my G&G smothered chicken my new must-have meal – although I’m not sure I could replicate it well enough to do it justice.

With our main meals being so delightful we weren’t sure whether we’d manage to squeeze in a dessert. Top tip – You have to make room for a dessert if you are visiting the Lodge!

The homemade warm chocolate brownie and complimenting chocolate sauce was divine – so much so I was reluctant to let anyone else try a bite. I confess I was so wrapped up in my own dessert that I missed the homemade sticky toffee pudding which I’m assured was delicious.

The Lodge Griddle & Grill // Family Friendly

Visting the restaurant as a family it was wonderful to see a varied children’s menu available. Rather than just the three or four options you usually listed on menus. With a range of beverage available too, with the thick shakes, a must-have treat!

The children did note the sign in the bar which states that unaccompanied children would be sold to the circus. Needless to say, they stayed close after that.

The Lodge Griddle & Grill // When are you visiting?
