The Gruffalo, Bridget Jones and Polka Dots #LittleLoves

March 17, 2017

Another week of chasing my tail. I seem to have brief moments where I think that I have all the balls juggling nicely then I drop one or another is added into the mix. I really don’t like feeling disorganised, I feel so unproductive and as though I have wasted time better spent doing something else.

We are off to Chessington this weekend to see the opening of the new Gruffalo River Ride Adventure so we have enjoyed a week filled with Julia Donaldson stories. From The Gruffalo, The Stick Man and Room on the Broom. There is something wonderful about her stories that draw you in and make you feel as though you are part of the adventure.

Watched

After Mr. Boo surprised me with a copy of Bridget Jones’s Baby a couple of weeks ago, I have finally gotten around to watching it. Watching it I suddenly remembered how much I enjoyed the previous films and how I have missed Bridget Jones. I’m not sure if I was entirely happy with the ending but I suppose in many ways it was fate.

I have to confess to becoming so lazy with Netflix films available at the touch of a button – the whole idea of having to put a DVD into the machine and load it up etc feels like too much effort.

Heard

Chatter, chatter, chatter. With a trip down to London with Julie from Pondering Parenthood and meeting up with Becky from Mummy Adventure, it was lovely to catch up and natter away. You’d think that after four hours travelling in the car and a day spent together that we’d run out of things to talk about but somehow we manage it.

Made

A rather unproductive week has had me not making anything of note.

Wore

Do you have a favourite item of clothing that you’ve had forever and ever? I do. It is a simple polka dot top that I bought on impulse from Tesco about four years ago. There is something about it that makes me feel like me in it. Dropping a few more pounds over the last month has given me the confidence to start wearing it again – and I have to say, I really do love it.

Lastly

We’ve been getting ready for Comic Relief next week with some funky Rankin t-shirts from TK Maxx. With nine designs to choose from it was a little difficult but I think we have chosen some great ones.
