About the author – Em Lynas

Em Lynas is a children’s author with a love of silly poetry, magic, dragons and folklore. Em has been a shelf-stacker, a shoe shop assistant, a primary school teacher, a mum, an educational publisher and now, an author of funny books. She lives by the seaside on the North East coast with her husband, Geoff, and although she did have pets when her children lived at home; hamsters, guinea pigs, a rabbit and a jar of stick insects, she is currently petless.

About the illustrator – Matt Hunt

Matt Hunt was born in Redditch, Worcestershire in 1988. Starting as a fine artist, he graduated from the Birmingham School of Art, and from these roots, developed a love for children’s illustration. He currently shares a house with his wife Hayley and two cats. Matt works in mixed media, utilising paint, pens, crayons, and digital. He loves to create new and interesting characters and write stories for them. He’s influenced by old movies, classic illustrations, cartoons and books.
