Celebrating her 29th birthday at a party surrounded by people she barely knows is not how London would like to be celebrating. In fact, she’d like to be making her way to the airport heading to Brazil for an amazing photojournalist opportunity. Sadly being a Princess means that Royal duty comes before her life plans. If this wasn’t bad enough her aunt drops the bombshell that in order for her oldest brother o keep the throne one of her siblings or her has to produce an heir before her 30th birthday to continue the Royal Line.

Not wishing to force her into an arranged marriage to some random Duke her aunt has lined up, her brothers get her out of the country whilst they attempt to challenge the outdated law. Escaping to Paris to stay at a friends house doesn’t go to plan when she is forced off the road. Thankfully rescued by security boss Kannon who has just finished a Paris Fashion Week assignment.

Immediately they have a banter-filled push and pull to their encounters, unable to deny their simmering chemistry for too long. With security threats against London continuing her brother feels it would be best for Kannon to provide protection until they figure out what is happening. Are they able to work out who is behind the attacks? And does the Royal Line law need to be changed?

First impressions really do leave a lasting effect, especially on Sparrow. As she walked into what she thought was her room in the palace, only to find Prince Breck in bed with two women. Certainly living up to his reputation as the playboy prince. Ever since they have had an ‘I’m not sure why I hate you so much but I do’ relationship. Constantly finding ways to dig at each other as they navigate around the palace. Attacked in the car park as she leaves one evening, Sparrow is keen to write it off as a mugging.

Having lost his parent’s at a young age, Breck has always known that he was the spare to the throne. However, when Roman had to step up be became the heir until Roman find a queen and has his own children. Acting as the joker of the family, he puts on a show of ease – when in fact he doesn’t feel this way at all. Running his tech company without his family’s awareness of what he actually does, doing some good in the world. Never letting anyone close to him although there is something about Sparrow that infuriates him but intrigues him at the same time.

Determined to find out what is happening behind Sparrow’s attack Breck is tasked with helping on the tech side of things. Drawing them closer until finally, they can’t deny the attraction any longer. But Sparrow’s job puts her in the line of danger regularly, especially at the moment. Can Breck live with the uncertainty and possibility that he might lose her?
