After two previous failed attempts to visit LEGOLAND Windsor this year due to snow. We finally managed to visit last weekend. Not only that, but it appears that the sun finally remembered where the UK was and decided to grace us with its presence for the day.
As a huge fan of Gavin and Stacey, you can imagine how delighted I was at being able to visit Barry Island and walk in their footsteps… Where to you go?
There are days when Tigger does something completely unexpected. The days were he will try a new food or step outside his comfort zone. Take our visit to Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary, he was first in line to hold the millipede. Carefully sitting down, holding his hands out and welcoming the animal of many legs into his comfort zone. Just double checking with the ranger that it wouldn’t bite him, then he was happy.
When it comes to parenting, I find myself saying no more often than I do yes to the children. Whilst some of their 101 requests throughout the day are ones that require a no answer. There are a proportion that I could say yes to but don’t for whatever reason.
Earlier this week Drayton Manor challenged me to a #YesDay. A day for me to say yes to the children rather than no. One where they get to go to a theme park instead of completing the food shop. One where they get to go on the same ride three times in a row if they so wish (and Piglet did).
Like the majority of the UK, we had a visit from the Beast from the East. Whilst I had initially thought we would just get a sprinkling, as usual, instead we were treated to a thick blanket of snow.
Earlier this week whilst Roo and Mr Boo were flying high on the GoApe tree top adventure at High Lodge, Thetford Forest. Tigger and I decided to go in search of the Highway Rat.
A long overdue visit to SEA LIFE Centre Great Yarmouth to finally see the new Ray Tank area using our Merlin Annual Passes.

For the first time in a number of years we attended the Christmas Pantomime at Norwich Theatre Royal. Whilst it was a late night for Roo and Tigger, I don’t think I’ve seen Tigger laugh so much in a long time. On our way back to the care we walked past the Norwich Assembly House and fell in love with their Christmas trees all lit up in the darkness.
One of our Christmas traditions has been to visit the St Peter Mancroft Church in Norwich city centre. Attending to watch the Poringland Singers and the children’s school perform in the annual Christmas Carol Concert. This year joined by the CLIC Sargent music academy singers.
