Summer fun with Cherokee clothing

September 2, 2015

What a summer we have had, between visits to see family and dodging the summer showers the children have had a blast. Roo especially has been having summer fun with Cherokee clothing exclusively available at Argos, what little girl doesn’t like getting new clothes?).

Given half a chance Roo would probably opt to wear a dress everyday however they aren’t the most practical items of clothing – especially for a girl who likes to climb, jump and general get into everything. So when Cherokee offered us the chance to select some items from their range I opted for practically whilst keeping with the fun style that Roo likes.

Cherokee Pink Heart Print T-Shirt

Incorporating two of Roo’s loves, pink and hearts the Cherokee pink heart print t-shirt really made Roo’s day when she saw this waiting for her whilst we were away on holiday. The short-sleeved t-shirt has a slighted fitted style to it without it being tight-fitting. The beautiful large printed heart design fills the front of the t-shirt and adds interest to the top without it being over the top.

Cherokee Girls’ Navy Peacock T-Shirt

I always love Roo in navy so when I spotted the Cherokee girls’ navy peacock t-shirt on the Argos website I just had to order this one for her. The t-shirt comes with a beautiful peacock printed design on the front which I feel looks really grown up and something that I would happily wear myself. Roo loves the sequins detailing across the peacock and with a slightly fitted style it looks great teamed with jeggings, shorts or even a demin skirt.

Cherokee Girls’ Slogan Love Top

The British weather is unpredictable at the best of times so having a long-sleeved top or two available throughout the summer is always advised. The Cherokee girl’s slogan love top is a fabulous all round top that can be paired with jeggings, jeans and even a skirt. The printed design on the front of the top really draws your eye to the different patterns within each of the letters. The top is a longer style top which means Roo is able to climb at the park etc. without fear of flashing her mid-drift.

Cherokee Girls’ Indigo Jegging

A thicker style jeggings to ones you might pick up in most supermarkets and high street stores. With an elasticated waistline it makes them easy to pull on and off, along with the jean design styling however with all the flexibility and freedom that comes with jeggings over jeans.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

When ordering Roo’s clothing I opted to get her 9/10 years rather than 7/8 years as she is already 8 years old (almost 9 years old) so wanted to make sure that she would be able to fit into them this summer and most likely next summer too. Each of the tops are a loose fit on her even with the slightly fitted styling of them, with a wide neck fitting that made putting them on and off easier although at times throughout the day slipped to one side making them sit funny – nothing a readjustment didn’t fix.

The jeggings I have to say were the item I was most impressed with, they are much thicker than other jeggings that I have previously purchased for Roo. The thicker fabric will certainly see her into the Autumn if not the winter whilst still giving her the freedom of movement than a standard pair of jeans.

With t-shirt prices starting at £6.00, long-sleeved tops from £8.00 and jeggings starting at £10.00 it represents good value for money. Available within most Argos stores (or available to order within a few days if not readily available in store that day) and also available on the Argos website.
