Spending time with Granny

Yesterday I made what has become the annual trip to my Mam’s house to drop Roo and Tigger off for two weeks.

Two whole weeks of spending time with Granny

Something that they have talked about since last year and has been on countdown since the beginning of July.

When I was their age I too would head off in the summer to spend time with my grandparents so I know just how special this time is for both them and my Mam. It doesn’t however make me miss them any less. It doesn’t take away from the guilt of them being 300 miles away from me. This year I am feeling especially guilty as normally I would be at work whilst they are away making up extra hours to have off later in the year for holidays and sickness. However this year I myself am off sick, under doctors orders to rest up and listen to my body.

As I left them they had grand adventures planned, from days our to the people they wanted to visit whilst they are there. Saying goodbye to them is never easy and in turn saying goodbye to my Mam but they have each other for the next two weeks and I’m sure I’ll hear all about their adventures on the phone each day.

I miss my babies!

I can’t imagine not seeing my two for two weeks. Yours will have a great time though, as will Granny! x
