Social Media, Doctor Foster and Snowsuits #LittleLoves

September 17, 2017

After an awful week last week I was hoping that this one would be much better. On the whole, my week has been positive, I’ve managed to meet some important deadlines and the house looks relatively tidy (well as tidy as it gets with three children). However, it took a bit of a downturn after receiving messages via Facebook. I don’t know why some things bother me more than others. One of these things is people thinking ill of me. Whilst I might appear to have a thick skin, I really don’t and care far too much about what others think of me.

Let’s draw a line under it and share this week’s #LittleLoves…

Read

Far too much social media – I kid myself into thinking I’ll just quickly check that notification that has pinged through to my phone. Suddenly 10, 20, 30 minutes have passed and I berate myself for wasting all that time when I could have been more productive elsewhere.

Watched

I completely forgot to record the new series of Doctor Foster, until I saw that Debbie had mentioned in her #LittleLoves last week. So I’ve binged watched the first two episodes of the new series this week – I’m loving it! I have no idea which direction it will go but I can’t wait for the next episode.

Heard

Having re-centred myself last week with the Now 40s playlist. I thought it was time to bring myself back up to date with the newer Now albums – however, I’ve realised that I’m old and prefer the classic chart hits.

Made

This week has all been about making plans and booking appointments. Planning my workload now that the children are back at school, planning school activities and booking opticians appointments.

Wore

The autumnal weather appears to be here. I have not even started to ensure that we are ready for the cooler days ahead. So with the weather particularly cold and miserable on the school run one day this week, I had to pop Piglet in a snowsuit. Now, this snowsuit is one that she has had for a good 10 months (size 6-12m). In fact, she wears in one of my favourite photos of her (see below), however, my dinky baby still manages to get into it at 22 months old.

Lastly

The pre-birthday season has begun with three birthdays in the family this week. Thankfully October is quite before November and December are full on birthday mode!
