Penguins on Ice from SmartGames {Review}

March 11, 2017

Whilst I agree that children should have fun whilst playing games, I also believe that there is nothing wrong with challenging them too. The SmartGames range does just this, with a selection of games that can be played at different levels depending on age and problem-solving abilities. The Penguins On Ice game is the latest game to challenge the Boo Roo and Tigger Too household.

Penguins On Ice from SmartGames

Can you pack the ice so that every puzzle tile can fit on the game board? Can you also make sure that all the penguins are in the right spot? Penguins on Ice is the first game where the puzzle pieces become the puzzle! Because in this original brain game every puzzle piece can be shape-shifted!

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

The Penguins On Ice game from SmartGames is aimed at children aged 6+ so Tigger is at the younger end of the scale. Which the concept of the game took some explaining, especially showing him how the puzzle pieces could be moved and made into new shapes. Once the information clicked with him, he did manage to complete a number of the starter level challenges. Roo was a little more confident and I have to say that I tried a couple of the master challenges and it is not as easy as it looks. You really do need to think about how the pieces fit together. I love that it comes with an elasticated strap to hold the game board together when not in use.
