6 Beauty and Fashion Tips for Fair Skinned Females

March 22, 2017

It is understandable why the word beauty brings smiles on the faces of many people. While there are sayings that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and has a lot more to do with the inner self, people still appreciate outward appearance. If you have a fair complexion and are looking for some beauty and fashion tips, the following are 6 tips that may be able to help.

6 Beauty and Fashion Tips for Fair Skinned Females

Avoid light lipstick colours

Light and pale lipstick colours will make you look sick rather than give you a fresh and healthy look. You should avoid these colours and wear bright colours instead. If you are the adventurous type, you can go for bright red, coral, sandy pink, rosy pink or purple lipstick. When you wear these colours, you should make sure that the rest of the makeup is relatively simple. This will allow the lipstick to take centre stage and enhance your appearance, making you look even more beautiful.

Eye shadows, eyeliner, and mascara

Just like lipstick, light eye shadow colours will not give dimension to the eyes if you have fair skin. Shimmery colours are more likely to accentuate the natural colour of your eyes and give them a bold look.

If you are not so much into eye shadows, you can use eyeliner alone. Brown and grey will work great for those who feel that black will be too bold. In case you wear brown or grey eyeliner, you should use black mascara to finish off.

Black mascara will emphasise your unique features if you have fair skin. Dark mascara will make your eyes stand out because of its dramatic nature.

Test foundation before you buy

It is important to make sure that the foundation you use will blend perfectly with your skin tone and colour. Before you buy foundation, you can test it on the side of your face then check under natural light to see how it blends. For the best results, you should use a cream foundation rather than liquid or powder. Alternatively, you can mix your favourite face cream with a few drops of the foundation to make a custom moisturiser that works for your face.

Don’t dye your hair the wrong colour

Hair colour will have a great impact on your appearance. You should consider your fair skin when choosing the best dye colour for your hair. Fair skinned females should avoid light red hair and go for deep red, dark brown and chestnut which are gorgeous and dramatic. If you want a lighter look, the honey blonde will make you very attractive. You can talk to experts in the field to guide you on the best colours to complement your skin complexion.

No light clothes

White and cream clothes are too light, a factor that will make them blend with your skin tone. You should avoid such light colours as they may make you look naked from a distance. This means that you will also have to choose your inner garments and tights carefully. Sheer tights, also known as hosiery or pantyhose in certain countries, should match your choice of clothes. When you’re shopping, ensure you are purchasing the right sheer pantyhose for pale skin to match your tone and outfit. If you need assistance, just ask a shop assistant or message your online retailer.

Protect your beautiful skin from the sun

If you want to maintain your gorgeous look and keep your glow for long, you should always wear sunscreen. Whether it is cloudy, rainy or the sun is scorching outside, sun rays will affect the appearance of your skin. If you are not a fan of sunscreen, sunglasses and hats will offer you a great alternative. Protect your beautiful skin from harsh sun rays and enjoy the compliments that come your way.
