Santa shouldn’t get all the glory

December 5, 2015

Something that we started to instil in Roo a couple of years ago was that she could ask Santa for one or two presents and he would try to bring what she had asked for. She could also make another list of things that she would like which Mummy and Daddy as well as family and friends might buy her for Christmas.

You see we wanted to allow her the freedom of choosing what she waned for Christmas (within reason) however let her understand that Santa doesn’t bring all the presents and that parents, family and friends all work hard to buy presents too.

Tigger is now at the age when we are explaining this to him. After all Santa shouldn’t get all the glory when each year entire families try to make Christmas as special as possible for children and their loved ones often saving all year to buy gifts and treats.

Do you let Santa take all the glory or do your children know that you and family buy some of the presents under the Christmas tree?
