The plan was royally simple…
Go undercover, protect my best friend’s little sister. It should have been the easiest assignment of my life. But Jessa is uncooperative. She’s feisty, mouthy, and stubborn. Oh, and she hates me. Ever since I threw her over my shoulder and carried her out of a bar fight, I’ve been persona non grata.

Going undercover at the same PR agency as her Roone doesn’t make a great first impression on her. There is something about each other that makes them wind each other up. She’s not impressed that he’s here to steal her clients.

Jessa has always moved from place to place, often at a moments notice due to her father’s paranoia that there were people after them. She’s been at Evans PR for the past few years which has been longer than most places. With her father passing away last year and she is attempting to build a life without him. Getting off on the wrong foot with Roone, they soon discover that behind the snide remarks that there is a fierce attraction there.

As Jessa is his best mates sister, he should not be entertaining a relationship with her but her just can’t help it. With a break-in, phone calls, drawings and stalking going in will the Royal Guards be able to keep Jessa safe? What happens when she discovers the truth behind who her birth father was? A cliffhanger ending leading you into the second book in the Royals United duet series.

Teasing the Princess (The Royals United Duet #2) by Nana Malone

Rating: 5 out of 5.

After learning the truth about her parentage Jessa goes in search of answers from her father’s friend. With her heading to the Winston Isles to see if she is able to observe the royal family that she is supposedly part of. Whilst Roone and Ariel attempt to trace her in London, they are called home but Roone refuses and heads off to the locations that Jessa also purchased tickets for – he wants to find his girl.

A chance meeting in a cafe has Jessa able to chat to the Queen alongside Bryna and Jinx who all recognise her but don’t say anything. Instead, opt to befriend her and welcome her into the palace for a movie night where she finally meets her brothers. Unsure as to whether they are plotting to kill her or not she isn’t sure what her next move is. Thankfully they manage to talk about everything including the conspiracy theory about who should or should not be on the throne.

With threats still happening Jessa heads back to London as bait, with Roone and Ariel by her side. However, they still have to deal with her stalker as well as the larger threat. Was coming back to London such a good idea? Why has Ariel’s father been accessing royal files and now gone to ground?
