Reviving a tired wardrobe

March 28, 2017

As I stood to put Tigger’s clean clothes away at the weekend. I looked inside his wardrobe and thought how bored I was of looking at the same outfit choices.

For at least the past 18 months (if not longer) Tigger has been wearing the same clothes. He hasn’t really grown that much to warrant new jeans. His slim build means that he neither requires a larger waistband or fills out his tops and jumpers.

Whilst the might not *need* new clothes I do want to revive his tired wardrobe with a few pieces for the upcoming months. To give him a little change and more choice when it comes to selecting what to wear.

Over the summer months, Tigger tends to live in shorts, t-shirts, and the occasional shirt. Whilst he has a draw full of different t-shirts many of them consist of various characters from TV shows or films. Some of them are still relevant to his likes nowadays, however, some of them are looking a little young for him and he wants to dress ‘more like daddy’. It’s time to clear out some of the little boys’ clothes, donate them to charity and make way for something more fitting to his age and his tastes.

Alongside some new t-shirts which will give him that older feel to his wardrobe. I’m also going to add some boys tailored shorts which I think look so much better than jersey ones or ones that match a football strip. As well as a couple of boys chambray shirts for when we have parties, BBQ’s or get-togethers with family and friends. They look so smart, yet practical at the same time so that he can run around the garden, jump on the trampoline or ride his bike.

I think that this will revive his tired wardrobe, although what’s the betting he will now have a growth spurt and I’ll be back searching for new summer clothes again in a month or two?
