REVIEW: Schleich Bayala Ice Sleigh

Inside their sledge, the elves fly as fast as the wind from one place to another.

When the enchantress of the ice elves likes to set out for a long-time joyride, she asks her ice cat to pull her in the sledge through the sunlit snow fields of her home. The faithful draught animal gladly agrees, and as swift as the wind, the enchantress flies by covered in warm quilts. Everywhere, elves and beasts wave to her, because everybody is pleased to see her.

‘Mummy do you know that fairies live at the bottom of Magic Nanny’s garden?’ Roo asks, ‘They do you know Mummy, because Nanny is Magic’ she states.

Roo has always been a believer in fairies, whilst I would like to think it is a little girl thing I actually believe it comes from her Nanny. Roo not only calls her Nanny, Magic Nanny but she really does believe it too. So when we go to visit she always asks if she has seen the fairies and whether they have left her a special present (usually some loose change or a bag of sweets). So when the Schleich Ice Sleigh arrived to review Roo instantly asked whether she could take it to Magic Nanny’s house to show the fairies.

Roo and Ice

Earlier this year Roo went to see Tinkerbell – Secret of the wings with Magic Nanny and ever since has wanted to become a winter fairy just like Periwinkle. The ice sleigh easily fits into that magical fairy tale she has in her head and allows her to transport herself to the winter garden and the winter fairies.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

I’m not sure who was more excited to review the Schleich Ice Sleigh, me or Roo. The Schleich quality shines through this product, the handpainted detailing is simply wonderful.

Roo was really transfixed with this set, taking the figure on a number of epic adventures across winterfall. Adding in her other fairy friends to make a fairy village where the fairies enjoy fun and dancing all day long. With seven other figures and sets available in the range Roo has already added them to her Christmas list especially Aguya, the ice skating fairy.

Priced at RRP £25.99 it may seem expensive however given the high quality and durability you receive from Schleich I would say it is worth every penny.
