Pride and Prejudice, Jamestown and Schools Out! #LittleLoves

July 21, 2017

This Week’s #LittleLoves… I’ll be honest July can hurry up and do one. The children have been taking it in turns to be ill this month. With Piglet taking over the reins this week. An out of hours doctors visit, hospital admission and an emergency GP appointment all within one weekend – she has ensured that she has had her money’s worth from the NHS. So difficult to see her looking so poorly and so frightening just how quickly they can go downhill.

This Month’s #LittleLoves…

Each week I share my #littleloves, a chance to reflect on the things that I have read, watched, heard and made. As well as highlighting what I’ve worn and any other highlights in my life. It’s not about the big things, it’s about all those small little loves that make up everyday life.

Read

Pride and Prejudice has once again rescued me during the long hours of the night. I don’t think I will ever tire of the beautiful classic story. There is something so captivating about Mt Darcy and Miss Bennett’s love story.

Although reading the book via an app on my phone made me realise just how much I wish I had a Kindle Paperwhite – adds to Christmas/Birthday wish list.

Watched

With many hours spent sitting on the living room floor with Piglet, I have managed to indulge in quite a bit of TV. Thankfully I haven’t had to sit through hours of Peppa Pig on repeat (silver lining). I’ve managed to rewatch Death Comes to Pemberley, finally start watching Jamestown and fall in love with the new Disney Beauty and the Beast film.

Heard

Nothing of any note really. I’ve had the radio or Spotify playing in the background as I have been catching up on chores around the house.

Made

We had a big IKEA delivery on Saturday with the final pieces of furniture for the house. Included within this delivery was my utility room storage for all the laundry. Sad as it may be, I am so pleased to have everything organised there. As a family of five, we produce quite a bit of laundry so hopefully, this will make things easier to keep on top of things.

Although I now have a new integrated washing machine on my wish list, the one we have isn’t very big or powerful.

Wore

It might be the end of the school term but I have been getting ahead of myself and purchasing uniforms ready for September. I don’t like to leave it until the last minute, so I have it all ready to be washed and labelled.

Lastly

School is out today! I’m so excited for the weeks ahead with the children. Although Roo and Tigger will be visiting my mum for two weeks soon, I’m going to miss them so much.
