Planning a Spring wardrobe

April 17, 2016

The promise of brighter days and warmer weather has made me starting to plan for the Spring. I’ve got some Spring cleaning planned around our new home, which will include going through all my clothes. I’d boxed up all my old clothes last year when I fell pregnant with Piglet and now it’s time to get them back out and see whether they a) fit and b) are still something I would feel comfortable in wearing.

I do tend to treat the children and Mr Boo to new clothes before myself, however, this year I am trying to make sure that I take the time for myself which includes making sure that I treat myself to a couple of new things every once in a while. I’ve got a haircut and bra fitting booked in for next month, so this month I thought I’d put together a spring wardrobe wishlist with the aim to buy one piece each month (or if I manage to work extra hard maybe two).

Planning a Spring wardrobe

Whilst the Spring brings us the first glimpse of colour from the flowers bursting through the dark days of winter, I am not really a colourful wardrobe person. Truth be told I would love to be, however, I prefer to be a wallflower and blend into the background rather than wear something eye-catching. So as you can see my Spring wardrobe is very much neutral, however, I like to think of is as mix and match wardrobe as I can wear each element with other things from my wardrobe.

The jeggings are from Matalan, which might not be everyone’s first choice to purchase jeans from, however, after buying a pair earlier in the year from there I am a convert as they have to be most comfortable jeans I have owned.

The tunic, blazer and jacket all come from Joules which I have always popped into the store for items for the children, especially Roo as she loves their prints. It’s not somewhere I had considered for myself but I love this almost nautical look with the navy blues and stripe internal detailing.

Whilst the pumps are Sketchers, which I just love as they are so comfortable and these pumps will work well with this outfit, maxi dresses throughout the summer and well into the Autumn.

What’s in your Spring wardrobe?

Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with Mastershoe,
however, I am looking to buy the items included within my Spring wardrobe wishlist
