Our Doc McStuffins #Doctober Twitter Party

Our Doc McStuffins #Doctober Twitter Party

October 6, 2014

Last week I told you about how we would be celebrating all things Doc McStuffins in the #Doctober Twitter party, as we were very lucky in being chosen as one of the co-hosts. Before I knew it Thursday was upon me and at 4pm I had the lovely Hex Mum and her kiddies join us for some fun and games whilst I attempted to keep up with the chat happening on Twitter.

Healthy Snack Making

With the help of some novelty shape cutters our first task was to get the children to create some edible art. I have a little confession in that I had bought some strawberries for the children to use however I *may* have eaten them the night before (oops). Whilst the older children were busy pressing out stars and love hearts, Tigger decided that why play with your food when you can eat it and decided to just sit and much his banana!

Stick the plaster on Stuffie

Time for a game… Stick the plaster on Stuffie – think pin the tail on the donkey except with plasters and a blue dinosaur.

Doc McStuffins #Doctober - Party Games

The lucky winner was Eowyn winning a wonderful Doc McStuffins Sticker Scratcherz, although we suspect a little creative peeping was going on 😉

Time to refuel

With all the excitement of an after school party and games the children declared they were ‘starving!’ so it only seemed right to feed them. With fruit skewers from their healthy snack making, sausage rolls and other party food they were soon tucking in. We were sent a fabulous Doc McStuffins cake within our party box, however it had become a little squished… not that it mattered to the children.

Doc McStuffins toys

In between plate refills the children happily played with the selection of Doc McStuffins toys that were included within our party box; Doc Walk N Talk Doll (review pending), Doc McStuffins Carry Along Clinic, Doc McStuffins Doctor’s Bag Playset, and the Doc McStuffins Roleplay Set. All of the toys were a big hit with the kids, especially the roleplay set and the doctor’s bag.

Become Doc – Roleplay flashcard game

Our final game for the children was to become Doc McStuffins – after showing them a flashcard they had to find the right instrument to help their poorly toy. Some of the children really understood what instrument helped different parts of the body, whereas others just wanted to use them all – a full toy MOT.

Party bag

Well a party isn’t a party without a party bag, so all the children were treated to a slice of Doc McStuffins cake, Doc McStuffins poster and a Doc McStuffins Mini Doodler.

I think all the children had a good time, and I just a bout managed to keep up to date on Twitter.

Did you join in the Doc McStuffins #Doctober Twitter party?

Disclosure: We have been provided with a selection of Doc McStuffins toys and accessories FOC to enable us to host a party at home alongside the Twitter Party
