Newport Bay Club Hotel | Disneyland Paris

April 18, 2017

During our recent trip to Disneyland Paris as part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations, we were booked into the Newport Bay Club Hotel. The Newport Bay Club Hotel is Europe’s second largest hotel, with over 1,100 rooms within the hotel.

Knowing just how big the hotel was I worried that we would be lost inside of it. However, pulling up to the hotel on the shuttle bus it looked like one of those grand New England style houses you see on American TV. The ones where they all go to visit for the holidays etc. Although grand it didn’t look too intimidating, with an array of helpful staff members to welcome you inside and show you to the right desk etc.

The Newport Bay Club Hotel is located on the far side of the lake next to the Disney Village. It can be easily accessed via the free shuttle bus service from outside the Eurostar terminal. Or a 15-minute walk through the Disney Village and alongside the lake.

Family Rooms

Although Roo and Tigger are older now I do still worry what the sleeping arrangements for them will be whenever we stay in a hotel room. At the Newport Bay Club Hotel, their family rooms consist of two double beds with additional space available for a travel cot for under twos. Having two double beds works better for us as a family than bunk beds (from a safety point of view and arguments over who is sleeping where).

The room itself was ample sized for a family, with all of the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Space to store luggage, clothing and a dressing table to ensure you look your best for the Disney characters. A family bathroom with bath/shower and separate vanity area to speed up getting ready in the mornings.

The rooms are beautifully decorated with a nautical theme with touches of Disney included. From the potholes around the top of the walls and beautiful Mickey Mouse ears on the headboard. Travel cots and additional bedding are available via the concierge in the lobby.

There are three different restaurants available within the Newport Bay Club Hotel, each offering a different style of food and atmosphere. Like all the restaurants available within the Disneyland Paris complex, they are best booked on your arrival to avoid disappointment.

  • Cape Cod – Drop anchor in this New England seaside setting for some Mediterranean and International tastes from the ocean.
  • Yacht Club – In the favourite hangout of any amateur sailor, you can sample sophisticated dishes inspired by New England with Mediterranean influences.
  • Captain’s Quarters – Sail over to this nautical themed bar for an aperitif served amid the elegant world of regattas and racing yachts.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

We stayed for two nights at the Newport Bay Club Hotel and really enjoyed our time there. The rooms are bright, clean and well maintained. Despite the size of the hotel, everything is signposted and there is ample staff member available to assist around the hotel. We ate within the Cape Cod hotel on two occasions and I have to say the selection of food was amazing (even with a fussy eater).
