Why is this your favourite Christmas song?
This is the most gorgeous Christmas song, but its probably not one that most people will think of – it’s a carol to start with, and its not really that up beat either.
However, it reminds me so much of my childhood as my mum used to sing it to me when I was growing up – it conjures up wonderful nights at home with my family by a burning fire, listening to my mum sing while she busies herself with Christmas.
It has a beautiful, haunting melody that really makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I know it’s not for everyone, but it is magical to me.
