Mr. Men, Dawson’s Creek and Comic relief #LittleLoves

March 25, 2017

Oh what a week, truth be told I am exhausted. Piglet has been unwell since last weekend with suspected Scarlet Fever and now a throat infection on top. This has meant lots of broken sleep, high temperatures, and general crankiness. On top of this Roo has had a dance show (which I had to miss as Piglet was unwell – major mum guilt) plus Tigger has had a check up at the hospital for his eyes.

Although none of this really compares to the devastation that happened in London on Wednesday. I can’t seem to find the words to express the sadness I feel for each of the families affected.

Read

With Mother’s Day this weekend I’ve been sitting down with Roo and Tigger enjoying some Mr. Men stories. Tigger especially loves the stories and has acquired quite a collection on his bookshelf, it’s really lovely to sit with him and listen to him read the stories.

Watched

With Piglet under the weather, I have had ample opportunity to watch TV. I’m sure that I’ve watched more than my fair share of Peppa Pig this week. Needing something else to occupy my mind I have turned the dial back to my teenage years and indulged in Dawson’s Creek. I really do wish it was available on Netflix so that I didn’t have to disturb Piglet when I need to change the discs (first world problems!).

Heard

Whilst we were at Chessington last weekend for the launch of the new Gruffalo River Ride Adventure we were treated to a live band on the evening whilst the children were watching The Gruffalo and taking part in activities. Roo and I took the opportunity to get up and have a little dance.

Made

Absolutely nothing – this week has been about surviving rather than creating things.

Wore

Piglet has been sporting some of the new Lidl organic spring collection. She has been drifting between hot and cold so the collection of wrap over bodysuits and cardigans have really got us through the week.

Lastly

We’ve been joining in with the spirit of Comic Relief with TK Maxx t-shirts. Although our local school refuses to join in with any of the fundraising events throughout the year as they are deemed disruptive.
