Manchester Baby Show 2011

I was luckily enough to win two tickets to the Manchester Show from The Petit Mom Blog, so I invited one of my oldest friends who lives in Manchester along.

I was quite surprised to see that it wasn’t as big as I had imagined and found that there were a number of retailers I thought would be there, were in fact not.

I really wanted to get Tigger a new sleeping bag or two (only 10 months old but the 6-18m sleeping bags only just fit him, he’s a very long baby), but the only stand I could find with 18-36m sleeping bags was Mothercare but this was only if I ordered them, however, I would still get the 10% show discount. I decided not to purchase as I know I can get Grobags in TK Maxx cheaper.

What we bought

We both bought a Chillipeeps teat and received a free bag for saying ‘SayILoveChillipeepsTeats’,

We signed upto the Superdrug Beauty Card and got our free ‘Yummy Mummy’ goodie bag, although when we had a look in it we nearly fell over laughing. I’m sorry everyone but Tena lady pads do not make me feel like a ‘Yummy Mummy’.

I wish I had bought the personalised Christmas stockings from Mr Mole Blanket’s but will purchase these from their website when they are available (should be added in the next few weeks)

We both managed to get our free MAM bottles

We both decided not to subscribe to Prima Baby magazine and receive a free Tommee Tippee gift (I wish I had taken this out for my sister in law who is due in December), we did however buy the goody bag for £2.00 which had the last two copies of the magazine in along with various baby wipes and samples (very good value)

Roo really enjoyed the Ella’s Kitchen stand, they very kindly gave me a stage 3 sample for Tigger and a fruit pouch for Roo

The little ones were entered into the ‘Face of The Baby Show’ competition, the photographers were lovely and although Roo was too old to be entered they kindly let her have her photo taken as well

(I hate getting my photo taken, I much prefer to take them)

Having Fun
Roo was very excited to see Tatty Ted on the Marks & Spencer stand and got some lovely colouring pages to do.

We  did have a good day, however I thought that we would be there all day but left about 1.30pm as we had seen everything. I think I will try to attend the ExCel one in October to see if that is any better.
