Lunch On A Pirate Ship, The Hunger Games and tonsillitis #LittleLoves

July 20, 2018

It’s been a while since I shared a #LittleLoves post. After it was changed from a weekly to a monthly link up I kind of lost my way. Life is so hectic that I can barely recall what happened last week never mind what happened at the beginning of the month. So what I’m trying to say is that I missed sharing a little snapshot of our lives each week. And I’m hoping to start adding a #LittleLoves post up each week once again.

This week’s #LittleLoves…

Countdown to the summer holidays is on. With Roo and Tigger having two days left at school next week. Then it is time to recharge, recoup and relax for the summer. It’s been a busy week with Roo completing a week at high school as part of the transition activities they offer. Tigger has met his Year 3 teacher (which wasn’t a male teacher to his disappointment). Whilst I spent a day in London with Piglet at the Britax Blogger Breakfast.

Read

Our ‘From The Bookshelf’ series continues with a fun picture book story ‘Lunch On A Pirate Ship‘. A story filled with beautiful illustrations that will hopefully encourage children to realise that mum’s cooking is the best! Plus I had a total fangirl moment when both the author and illustrator tweeted me earlier this week!

Watched

Roo and I have been enjoying some girlie time on an evening. Watching The Hunger Games series of films. It’s a series that I loved as soon as I watched the first film,  So it was lovely to share with Roo. She’s an emotional girl just like me so I pre-warned her as sad moments were about to happen.

Heard

When I travel in the car long distances I usually pop on the iPod and reminisce to old Now albums. Sadly my car stereo USB port is temperamental at best. So I’ve had to make do with the radio. I would utilise Spotify via my phone, however, my phone and car stereo are refusing to pair up – so frustrating!

Made

Following a useless phone call to the tax credit helpline (don’t get me started on that one!), I was searching for some paperwork. Which prompted me to finally shred some old papers and file away all this year’s paperwork – despite being an administrator by trade, I detest filing.

Wore

The amazing heatwave continues so I’ve been wearing my floral trousers from George at Asda (a bargain at £10). I’m not body confident enough to wear shorts and I could bare the chub rub if I dared to wear a dress (which I’d need to buy first as I don’t own any).

Lastly

Piglet has been suffering from tonsillitis again. Although I think we managed to catch it early before it really took hold. She has an ENT appointment next month so we are hoping that they will agree to remove her tonsils and adenoids.
