It goes without saying that most of us have plenty of time on our hands at the moment, more than we ever have had before, which means that we have started to look around our homes and think about the ways that we can make it look better.

It Is one thing to add a touch of paint here and there, but what if your home needs some more substantial work completed? For many of us, the idea of actually renovating and improving your home is enough to put us off even thinking about starting the project. Especially when we know that these jobs can be pretty big, expensive and take up lots of our time.

If you are someone who wants to improve their home but needs to start with something small, then why not take a look at our guide that covers some of the quickest renovation ideas which will kickstart your home improvements.

Update your gutters

You would be surprised by just how much the gutters in your house have to put up with each and every year. Rains and storms can do damage to them and they can also clog up with leaves and moss, which can lead to leaks and property damage. If you can’t remember the last time you gave your gutters some TLC, then you might want to think about going up there and giving them a check over. Not only can you clean them out, which will do you good in the short-term, but you can also find out how best to upgrade them. Taking away the old, cracked gutters and installing new guttering, will do your home wonders.

Think about your stairs

One of the most used parts of your house has to be the stairs and this means that not only does it need to look its best, but also that it is often the spot in your house which looks the most tired. It makes sense to think about giving your stairs a makeover as your home renovation project. You could replace the carpet if you think that is looking worn, or if you are thinking that you want to do something even more noticeable, you can also replace your standard wooden bannister with something much more modern. Toughened laminated glass is a great idea as an alternative, not only is it clean and lets in plenty of light, but it also is strong and safe too.

Paint your kitchen cabinets

Your kitchen is another key part of your home, which means that it needs to look its best. It can be expensive to have work done in your kitchen, however, the good news is that there are alternatives. You could sand down your kitchen cabinet doors and then repaint them. This might be all you need to bring your kitchen to life.

These are just a couple of the ways that you can improve your home quickly and inspire yourself to make bigger changes in the future. Why not take a look at some of the other ways and see if you can find something that you want to try out for yourself?

I am thinking about repainting our kitchen cabinets. I have a colour for the walls which won’t go with them so I think it needs to be done x
