A trio of heartwarming, laugh out loud and tear-jerking moments in the Kathryn Freeman Romcom Collection. Take a look at what else I have been kindle reading for further series inspiration.

The New Guy (Kathryn Freeman Romcom Collection #1)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Sitting in a bar drinking champagne to mourn/celebrate the life of her Grumps (Grandad), Sam attempts to strike up a conversation with the stranger on the stool next to her. He’s not much of a talker, but lucky for him Sam is more than happy to do most of the talking. A fumbling chat-up line and a swift exit from the stranger makes Sam chase after him. Sparks flying she decides tonight is as good as time as any to have a one night stand (and possibly push her ex out of her mind).

It was just a one night stand but when Ryan sees his new boss walking across the foyer the next morning, realising that it was the woman from last night he’s not sure how to handle this. Bantering back and forth it is clear that there is more chemistry between then than just one night. But can you date your boss?

With baggage on both sides, they are thrown into each other’s lives throughout the coming months to get a new app launched. Can it really work between them? – Join Ryan and Sam as they laugh, cry and navigate a boss/employee relationship.

Up Close and Personal (Kathryn Freeman Romcom Collection #2)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Zac Edwards is an actor on the rise, so much so that he has managed to get himself a stalker. Not that he is taking it all that serious, probably just a female fan who has taken things a little too far.

Kat Parker is to be Zac’s bodyguard, not that Zac knows this when she bumps (quite literally) into him at a function spilling champaign down him. Not that she seems to mind as he finds himself drawn to her immediately. Kat knows who he is that that she cannot return his flirting – but she really wants to.

The following day formal introductions are made and Zac isn’t too sure about the need for a bodyguard or a bodyguard that is Kat. However, he agrees to it and soon they are spending a lot of time together. Something Zac is very happy about although the sexual tension is killing him.

A twist on the traditional bodyguard stories with a gender role reversal. Lots of laugh out loud moments, coupled with heartbreaking past tragedies.

Strictly Come Dating (Kathryn Freeman Romcom Collection #3)

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Settling down to watch Strictly Come Dancing with her two children, their nanny and her friends Sarah and Alice has become a Saturday night tradition. Especially since her marriage ended three years ago. Maggie loves to watch the dancing and spend time with her friends.

One Saturday, there is an interruption to their usual viewing party when Seb, Sarah and Alice’s younger brother gatecrashes. Tall, blonde, tanned and handsome, he notices Maggie straight away. Although she is 10 years older than him, there is something about her that draws him to her.

Over the weeks he joins them again and again to watch the show (spending most of his time watching Maggie). Starting dancing lessons Maggie hasn’t found a suitable dance partner when Seb volunteers. She declines, yet he turns up anyway and the chemistry starts to grow between them.

Can this really work? He’s only back in the UK to help his dad following a heart attack. She has responsibilities, not to mention the age gap. A funny and charming read, discovering that age can be just a number of you let it.
