‘I picked a flower for you’

October 6, 2015

As I collected Tigger from school last Wednesday he came out with a smile upon his face ‘Mummy I have something for you’ he said cheerfully. He opened up his hand and revealed a daisy…

My heart melted and instantly choked up, ‘I looked after it all day, I picked it on my Welly walk this morning’ he told me. I asked if he had kept it in his pocket ‘no Mummy, I hold i my hand all day to keep it safe, I just put it in my tray with my name on at lunchtime then got it back when I finished’ he replied.

My heart melted that little bit more knowing that he’d kept hold of it all day for me. He then turned to Roo and said ‘don’t worry I’ll get you one next time, because all girls should have flowers’. With that I *may* have shed a little tear, my darling little boy showing such sweetness and compassion – oh how I love him.
