Blogging 101 | Hot desking: because your blog’s got that big

September 10, 2018

As one of the original old school bloggers, I know that when you start out you just don’t realise how big the blogosphere is. In the last ten years alone, it’s grown enormously. Those of us who’ve stuck it out and survived, I reckon we deserve a big bag of kudos. We’ve experienced first-hand how our hobby has changed steadily, but rapidly, into an industry of its own.

At the core of what we do, blogging is still very much about sharing our thoughts, opinions and adventures. That said, to stay relevant you have to keep up with the times, and we can’t deny that blogging has become big business.

Turning a blog into a profitable business

Working with clients and corporations is plays quite a significant part in our posts. And while integrity, as always, is key, it’s certainly something special to be able to reap the rewards of the effort you’ve put into your pastime.

Whether you blog entirely to share your stories and have your voice heard, or your blog complements another area of enjoyment – such as crafting or creative arts, for example – in our tech-savvy, social media led world, it’s perfectly plausible for your blog to evolve into a profitable business.

Creating an office space away from the home

If you’re feeling as though it’s time to proliferate the profit you bring in from your blog, it’s time to put your business head on. When you’re starting out in this way, the overheads and the practicalities of renting office space is a huge risk. One that may be a little premature, to say the least.

Hot desking, as available in this office space in Liverpool, is a great way to step into things and get started. It has all the benefits of having your own office, but with additional perks, too. From freelancers to entrepreneurs and start-up SEOs, such a creative space can provide the opportunity to work in a professional, dynamic environment without the worry of all the usual, costly overheads.

Benefits of hot desking

It allows you to work where and when you want, at a creative desk, within a collaborative community with like-minded, driven, determined folks. Rather than paying for an entire office space, you only fork out for the desk you require. But on top of that, you can make the most of the features and benefits such as swanky meeting rooms, free refreshments, high-speed Internet, and even an exclusive gym membership.

The Liverpool creative space is dubbed as the most connected coworking space in the city. Check it out and see if it’s a viable option for you and your baby. Your baby being your blog, of course.
