We hadn’t been to Whipsnade Zoo for a couple of years so it was lovely to head back to check out the Butterfly House. So many beautiful species of butterflies to see up close and if you were very lucky to land on you for a closer look.
A Postcard From
Visiting Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Park last weekend allowed us the chance to experience the new James and the red balloon ride for the first time.
A trip back home to Cumbria wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Solway. Staying at the Shore Gate House Bed & Breakfast, this is the beautiful view from the patio across the Solway to Scotland.
Last weekend I took a small detour on the way to Carlisle and headed for Beamish Museum. This place holds a special place in my heart from visiting on school trips as a child. Whilst I hadn’t been in over 20 years, it was still as wonderful as I remembered.
For as long as I can remember Roo has loved reading Jacqueline Wilson books. With the Hetty of Exhibition at The Foundling Museum, London the start of the summer holidays seemed like the perfect time to visit.
Earlier this week we headed over to one of our favourite places – Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. This summer sees them showcase the Wizarding Wardrobes from the films. With over 25,000 costumes made for the films, you are treated to some of the most amazing displays as you walk around the making of Harry Potter sets.
During a girls day out to London earlier this week, we finally managed to get up close to Buckingham Palace. Having just missed the changing of the guard we managed to catch a glimpse of the guards heading back to the palace on horseback.
Whilst enjoying a rest in St James Park after walking up The Mall to see the Trooping the Colour. We happened upon the fly over with The Red Arrows finishing the display of military aircraft.
