Whilst at Blog On Xmas last year I discovered VARTA, who besides having an amazing selection of batteries, produce power banks perfect for charging needs on the go. A lightbulb moment when I realise that this could be the solution to Roo’s constant state of ‘I forgot to charge my phone again’. We were kindly sent the VARTA My Power Bank recently to see if this would ease our charging problems.

As a family, we have always jumped in the car and headed off on adventures. When the children were little…
A couple of months ago Vorwerk contacted me to see whether I’d like to put the Kobold VK200 Cleaning System to the test. Stating that I would find vacuuming easier, enjoyable and most importantly I’d notice how much cleaner my carpets were. With three children in the house (especially the muck monkey also known as Piglet) I need all the help I can get with cleaning especially vacuuming. Piglet spends a large portion of the day playing on the floors around out the house so I want them to be as clean as possible.
Music is one of those things that brings everyone together. From late teenage nights getting ready to go out and meet up with Mr. Boo after he finished work with friends. I can remember having music blasting out as we got dressed and did our make up. To the nights we would be heading out to clubs and bars painting the night red and singing on karaoke.
Nowadays our clubbing days might well be over but music still plays a big part in our lives. Something we can enjoy with the children, family and friends no matter what the occasion or just because it’s Sunday night and we are putting off the fact that it’s almost Monday again.
Gaming has moved on just a touch from my childhood and both Roo and Tigger are well versed on how to load up games etc. This Christmas they have pooled their Christmas wish and asked Father Christmas for a PS4 – with Tigger adding on a separate wish for the LEGO Worlds game. Whilst there is a good chance that the big man will fulfill this wish (as long as bedrooms are kept tidy and chores completed), I have been looking at what gaming accessories are available to compliment the console.
Take a look at the selection of gaming accessories available from Venom…
When it comes to arranging the presents that my children, family, and friends are going find underneath the Christmas Tree. I like to start the probing a little early. This is for many reasons, firstly, so I can kid myself into thinking that this year I am going to be organised. Head into December with that smugness that comes with not only purchasing Christmas gifts ahead of time but also having them wrapped up too. Secondly, a chance to rejig the families budget in order to accommodate the presents on the wish lists. And finally, because I struggle with some people whom I buy gifts for so I need to start gaining ideas as soon as possible in the hope I will hit the nail on the head with the perfect present.
There has been a shift in the types of presents that I’ve seen on the children’s, family and friends Christmas wish lists this year. With Roo and Tigger getting older, toys do still feature to an extent, however, it is tech that has a bigger presence. Between computer consoles, gaming accessories and ways in which they can blast out their music wherever they are.
The smartphone was given as a point of contact for us and her rather than an accessory or something that she spends hours using at home to message friends and take selfies with. I do, however, still worry about how I can protect her further. Especially when they’re so many stories about cyber bulling and grooming in the news each week.
