Cable Girls, Letters To Cleo and First Walkers #LittleLoves

May 5, 2017

Another bank holiday week that seems to make the week feel so much shorter. I’m chasing my tail at the moment, and it’s not a feeling I am comfortable with. I really need to get myself into a more organised routine but hopefully, with Piglet starting nursery I will find my new groove.

Read

Other than listening to the children read their school books I don’t think I have managed to read anything of note this week. Must try harder would be appearing on my school report this term.

Watched

Whilst I should have been working the other night, I flicked Netflix on to play in the background. However, a new series caught my eye, Cable Girls. Following the lives of four telephone operators in Madrid, Spain in the 1920’s. Each has their own backgrounds and demons to overcome. Although it has English dubbed over the top I’ve got used to the words and mouths not quite being in sync – it’s actually quite good and very addictive.

Heard

I caught the end of 10 Things I Hate About You on TV earlier in the week. A film from my teenage years which I still love to this day. As I watch it all the words to the Letters To Cleo songs, I want you to want me and Cruel to be kind popped back into my memory – oh how I loved to sing those songs.

Made

Plans – Before I know it the half term holidays will be upon us. Mr. Boo is off work that week so I have been planning on what days out we can enjoy making the most of our week together. So far I have a couple of days in London and possibly trips to Legoland/Chessington/Thorpe Park (weather dependant).

Wore

With the weather improving (although still quite a chill in the air) it has meant that we’ve been able to get out in the garden. Piglet is slowly finding her feet on the uneven territory and has been wearing her new First Walkers from George at ASDA

Lastly

Piglet started nursery this week (sob), although she loves going in and playing with the different toys and children. I’m struggling a little with the decision, but I know it will be best for her and I need to work.
