Our living room has been neglected since we moved in over a year ago. Other than adding the furniture we already owned we have done nothing with it. The walls have remained a blank canvas with just the picture hooks left behind by the previous occupiers to remind us that we need to add life to the room. Whilst we are lucky in that the room is large with two sets of patio doors at each end of the room it can feel a little like a corridor. Wishing to make the fireplace more of a focal point I have turned to Posterlounge to brighten up my home.
Over the years we have had many different styles in our home, from cityscapes to bold prints. This time I wanted to try and reflect a segment of the garden, however, not being a fan of green I looked for an alternative. The dandelion print immediately caught my eye and whilst I continued searching it was one I kept going back to. Initially, I discarded it as it was not large enough to fill the space we had available. However, as the design could be flipped I opted for two of the same print in order to create a symmetrical look to the room.
Rather than opting for a frame which might match our furniture now, this might change in the future. So I decided that a frameless forex board would work best as well as provide a less invasive look above the fireplace. I just need to find a vase and flower display to sit in the middle to finish off the look.
