Cara has been dating the Crown Prince Phillip for four years when he proposes at the Monarch Day celebrations. Whilst enjoying her bachelorette party in Venice she learns that Phillip has cheated on her whilst he was in Paris. Unsure what to do she heads to the airport.

Eric is Phillip’s younger brother, he actually met Cara first at the restaurant she was working at in Oxford. Spilling hot soup into his lap, however, she made a lasting impression on him. But he was unable to find her after the incident until she turned up for Christmas with Phillip. He’s secretly been in love with her for four years and when the cheating scandal breaks he is in Venice to rescue Cara from the press. Jetting off to New Zealand to help her mend her broken heart.

As they spend time together Eric is the rock that Cara needs whilst she is navigating everything that has happened. A drunken confession from Eric has her questioning everything up until he kisses her and everything falls into place. Realising that she chose the wrong prince all those years ago. But can they make this work when reality hits and the rest of the world find their hiding place?

After the cheating scandal that ended Phillip’s relationship he has been looking at what went wrong. As well as how he can find happiness going forward. Chatting to Jessica Croft of Croft Media at his brother’s wedding to his ex-fiancée Cara he is wary of the press but finds her easy to talk to.

Covering a charity Grand Prix and ball Jess is happy to be away from the States and the news of her recent divorce. Finding out that her husband had cheated on her makes her have a different viewpoint of the Crown Prince Phillip. Understanding how Cara must have felt when the scandal broke. During the ball, a photo is snapped of the two of them starting rumours of a romance. Something both Jess and Phillip deny.

As the Grand Prix takes place an accident has them in each other’s lives and suddenly buried feelings they had for each other surface. However, when Jessica’s editor-in-chief publishes a story about Phillip the following morning he tells her to get out of the country. Attempting to gain damage control she looks into why the story was published against her consent. Things come to a head when the Queen requests that the board fire Jess as CEO.

Prince Henry is used to loving life on the edge as a Formula 1 driver, however, an accident during his home race has had him face surgeries and lots of rehab/physiotherapy. He is a fraction of his former self. Not only because of the crash but because he can’t stop thinking about the woman he met at the ball before the race.

Cat is back in New York and hating her new boss after Jess was forced to step down. She’s been dating Dominic and taking things slowly, especially as she can’t seem to get a certain racing driver out of her mind. Not least because she finds out that their one night stand at the ball has left her pregnant.

A job opportunity with Jess comes just days after she finds out she is expecting. Flying over for a week to see whether it would be the job for her, big move etc. Also leads her to see Henry again and tells him about the baby. Not taking it as well as he could have leads to them have yet another misunderstanding. Soon Henry realises that he needs to pull out all the stops to make things up to Cat and to be part of his child’s life.

Ferdinand is used to helping others solve their problems as a therapist he listens and advises them on their troubles. Dealing with his own past hurts he’s not managed to deal with the way he would advise his patients. Things comes to a head when his younger brother Henry, has his first child.

Fifteen years ago he lost the love of his life, Alexandra, when she broke off their secret engagement after losing their daughter whilst five-months pregnant. With the anniversary of their babies death, they both head to Tokyo separately to help place closure on the past hurts. With Alexandra placing a shrine to the baby, whilst Ferdie stumbles upon her.

Old feelings are stirred up, however, Alexandra is engaged to someone else and isn’t sure that they can move on from their past. Needing to gain closure they go their separate ways, each working through things to find happiness again. Are they able to find a way back to each other? Is it possible to move on from past hurts?
