The countdown to back to school has begun. Whilst we aren’t ready to put the summer days behind us. School days are just a matter of days away and it is time for us to prepare for the new school year.

School uniforms, shoes, and accessories are purchased, labelled and ready to go. However, there is so much more to preparing for back to school than just uniform. In order to help me prepare for the new school year, Vosene Kids kindly sent me a hamper full of goodies. In an aid to motivate me and help me realise that I’ve got this all under control.

Laughter

Although Roo and Tigger have had their first days at school and are returning to the next step up the school ladder. I will, like all other parents have a little tear in my eye as they walk into their new classrooms next week. To ease my emotional state the Hurrah For Gin book is there to lift my spirits and to remember how funny life as a parent can be.

Date for the diary

I flatter myself and like to think of myself as an organised parent. The one that notes down all the dates for the diary when they come home on the newsletter. I might not recall them closer to the actual date, but it least it is noted down. This large ‘You’ve Got This’ wall planner will be perfect for my kitchen and hopefully means that I will be able to keep on top of things coming up at school too.

Organisation

From homework, reading books, letters, and certificates book bags can soon be difficult to keep track of. With the addition of coloured ziplock wallets to their book bags, it makes it easy not only for the child to select the correct item they need. But also for parents to check the folders too.

Prevention is better than cure

One of the things I remember from my childhood is the green bottle of shampoo sitting on the side of the bath. With the smell of tea tree oil filling the room as my mum would wash my hair. Having been the parent that has had to deal with head lice, I now know that prevention is better than cure. So for me, Vosene Kids is a helping hand in my defence strategy against those pesky lice. Washing their hair with the 2-in-1 shampoo and following up with a spray of conditioning defence spray as hair is brushed in a morning.
