babybundle Safebreathe™ Cot Wrap

September 9, 2016

I’m sure I’m not the only person who especially when pregnant gushes at the sight of a perfect made up cot. The clean white bars complete with an adorable cot duvet and bumper, it simply looks so cute. However, I found that sleeping bags were so much easier to use so a cot duvet was nothing more than a decorative feature that was thrown on the floor at bedtime. Cot bumpers, however, may look adorable but research over the last few years has shown them to be unsafe to use, particularly in small babies.

Over the past month, we have been transitioning Piglet from her Silver Cross Nostalgia Crib over to her cot. Initially, it was the extra space within the cot that I thought was unsettling her, however, it turned out to be the bars of the cot. Having always slept against the side of her fabric crib she has gained comfort from it. The harsh bars on the cot didn’t provide the same security and I wondered what I could do to make it a more comfortable sleeping environment as well as being safe.

Jaime from The Oliver’s Madhouse suggested that I tried the babybundle Safebreathe™ Cot Wrap as she had been using it with her littlest boy.

Product Features

  • Easy to breathe through if baby snuggles up close
  • Maximises airflow
  • No dangerous ties or strings
  • Keeps arms, legs and dummies inside the cot
  • Padded to protect against knocks and bumps
  • Creates a cosy atmosphere, perfect for easing the transition from a Moses basket

The soft, breathable wrap was easily added to Piglet’s cot. With long velcro strips on either end, it allows you to securely fasten the wrap to the cot bars without worrying about strings etc. Suitable for both cots and cot beds you can purchase either a 2-sided or 4-sided pack depending on your cot type.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

We’ve been using the babybundle Safebreathe™ Cot Wrap for about three weeks or so and I love it. It stays in place overnight with no sagging. Piglet is able to sleep against it without me worrying that she can pull it over her face or get trapped against it. It’s machine washable and dries really quickly which means I’m able to take it off and freshen it up as I change her cot sheets and it is back on and ready to go the same day.

I like that it is available in different colours too. I opted for the white as it matches her cot and bed linen that I’d already bought, although I have my eye on the grey to add that contrast of colour within her nursery.

Price and Availability

The babybundle Safebreathe™ Cot Wrap is priced at £23.99 and available to buy from babybundle in a choice of five colours (blue, white, ivory, pink or grey)

Disclosure: We received a babybundle Safebreathe™ Cot Wrap FOC for the purpose of review
