Whether it’s just for a day, or you decide to camp overnight, fishing can be a great way to get the family together, and spend some time outdoors and away from technology and television. Not only will you get some peace and quiet, but the kids will be able to learn about nature and of course, patience. However, fishing can be a little tricky; it involves certain equipment and expertise. Let’s take a look at some quick tips to ensure your first family fishing trip is a memorable experience.

Peppa Pig: My First Cinema Experience DVD

A couple of weeks ago I published a blog post about how you know when you’ve watched too much Peppa Pig.  The following day in the post a copy of the new Peppa Pig: My First Cinema Experience DVD arrived with a beanie London Peppa Pig toy – I had to laugh at the irony of it.

Orchard Toys // Cheeky Monkeys Game

There’s no hanging about in this fast-paced game, as players battle to collect and count the most bananas – but watch out for other players trying to steal them! Players must make strategic decisions by choosing whether to play it safe after their first turn or spin the spinner to either collect or risk losing more bananas!

Middletons Steakhouse & Grill, Norwich

When it comes to visiting restaurants with the children we tend to stick to ones that we have previously visited.  This is down to ensuring that the menu holds something that Tigger will eat and partly down to us being conscious of other diners when the children are playing.  One of the restaurants that Mr. Boo and I have wanted to visit for a while is the Middletons Steakhouse & Grill, Norwich.

Reflective Mood, London Dungeons and The Gruffalo’s Child#LittleLoves

October 13, 2017 No Comments

I’ve been in quite a reflective mood this week, prompted by a visit to London which I was asked questions about my blog.  How I started it, why I blog, what I blog about etc.  It made me think back to the good old days when blogging was much simpler.  I simply wrote about what I wanted, in the way I wanted and pressed publish.  Whereas now there is so much more that goes into creating a blog post and I guess I miss those simpler days.

How To Protect Your Children On Their Smartphones

October 12, 2017 No Comments

The smartphone was given as a point of contact for us and her rather than an accessory or something that she spends hours using at home to message friends and take selfies with.  I do, however, still worry about how I can protect her further.  Especially when they’re so many stories about cyber bulling and grooming in the news each week.

Visiting The London Dungeons for the first time

The London Dungeons is an immersive attraction that offers you everything from sights, sounds, smells, and touch. Transported around 19 live actions shows, complete with live actors to take you back in time to various points across London’s deep, dark history.  The 110-minute walk around attraction has your senses on overload from the moment you step foot into the dungeons – I can see why they offer you a free drink in the tavern at the end!

Have I lost my way?

Yesterday I was in London attending a workshop that I’d been asked to take part in. It was lovely to be invited down to London and get to chat about my blog and family life.  I chatted to the various people in attendance who for the most part either had not read my blog or even understood blogging.  They asked me questions such as why I started blogging, the subjects I write about and whether I get people contacting me for advice or thanking me for sharing a similar experience to them.
