One of this week's Britmums blogging prompts is Revelations.
If I could offer you one piece of advice (oh I sound like Baz Luhrmann)... it would be never slate, moan, whinge or say anything horrible about somebody else family. Whether this be your in-laws or our friends relations, just don't do it!
For example, you are chatting away and they are moaning about their family, under no circumstances join in or comment with anything other than 'oh really'.
Try to think about the situation with the shoe on the foot, would you like someone to comment on your family? Even if they have annoyed the hell out of you, you still wouldn't want to hear anything bad said against them.
This is something I have learnt the hard way. I won't go into details but needless to say it wasn't pretty and the fall out lasted nearly three years!
