After setting off at 6am, we arrived just after 9am to find people rushing (I mean running!) into the NEC. We were excited but not THAT excited!
The show was jammed packed full of people and I do not understand why some of them thought it would be a great idea to bring wheeled suitcases and trolleys (luckily I had worn boots otherwise I dread to think what my ankles would have looked like).
I think I misunderstand what the show was all about, I expected cake stalls and supplies but there were no cakes to be bought and more importantly to test. However, there were a number of wonderful suppliers and I think my mother-in-law managed to find some new contacts.
The best part of the show was the cake exhibition, the detail and hard work that went into those cakes was outstanding. I will leave you with a selection of the cakes on display:
